Welcome to Pilas Café! “Pilas”, meaning “batteries” in Spanish, a nod to my childhood nickname, given for my boundless energy and enthusiasm. Naming my coffee corner Pilas pays tribute to my roots and my family who inspires me.

At Pilas Café, coffee is life. I source beans from small, ethical Latin American farms, focusing on organic practices, especially from Peru. Supporting Pilas means supporting hardworking farmers across Latin America. If you’re curious about my roaster - my supplier is Peculiar Coffee!

I craft recipes with a unique Pilas twist and prioritize non-dairy alternatives without extra cost. These options have become so popular that whole milk has even been phased out.

My alfajores, inspired by my uncle and my grandma’s treasured cookbook, are a must-try.
